A graduate from University of Massachusetts- Boston with a major in Political Science/International Relations Concentration, Cindy had always wanted to go back to help Viet Nam. The only thing that had stopped her was the timing and opportunity. Now that she had found the right time and the opportunity, Cindy has begun her volunteer work with Hong Bang in October 2005 for an initial 6 months with the possibility of extending her volunteer work. Cindy will be doing the bulk of her first initial 6 months in the South assisting with a child care program and various programs helping the communities. In her words, “…I have been waiting for an opportunity like this…I am excited and looking forward to giving all that I have to make a positive difference.”
