In December 2006, Hong Bang contributed funding to help build safe and affordable housing for migrant workers who have congregated in Binh Duong Industrial District (10 miles outside of Ho Chi Minh City in south Vietnam). The facilities include living quarters, a daycare center, a library, a community kitchen, and other essential community services. The facilities held a ribbon cutting ceremony in January 2008.

 

In December 2006, Hong Bang provided a community in Nam Dinh province (northern Vietnam) with funds to buy two water filtration systems to provide the community with cleaner water for drinking and other uses. Together, the systems provide clean water for 310 people.

In November 2008, Hong Bang provided funds to a community in Nghe An province to build a deep water well and to install a water filtration system. The water filtration is needed to kill bacteria and make the water suitable for human consumption.
